Hardware - We Design and Make our own

Sisai started with the aim of providing IIOT related solutions. Very soon in our journey we realized the shortage of quality Indian made EDGE devices. The imported devices either were of poor quality or very expensive and obviously not customizable.

Pioneering Indigenous Innovation: Sisai’s Commitment to Fully Engineered Indian Devices

That’s what started our commitment to provide Indian made devices which are completely designed by Sisai Engineers. We completely own the IP of our hardware.

Under our fully owned brand FICUS

Key highlights of some of our products:

  1. In house architecture using industry best practices in selection of processors and components.
  2. Integrated communication module.
  3. Customized input and output ports.
    • Ready off-the-shelf

Customized Firmware

Making our hardware, without saying, also means we also make our firmware/embedded-software. This allows us complete flexibility to customize it for individual client needs.

Example:

  1. Energy monitoring – Our edge devices have been integrated with over half a dozen energy meters, each requiring modification in the firmware
  2. Chiller Monitoring – Our devices have been installed in multiple clients to help them monitor various parameters from the operating technologies ie Industrial Chillers

For our potential clients, this means that we have a very mature line of hardware products with highly mature base version of firmware that can be quickly customized for client specific needs

Peripheral Components

Engineering an Industrial Automation solution, takes more than the electronic EDGE devices. There are many other components that have to be thought about and integrated in the solution.

Example of some of these components are:

The Connectors: Depending on the environment, the type of the connectors(the actual good old wires and their ports) used varies. For some heavy duty industrial and military use, suitable connectors have to be used so as to survive the harsh conditions of heat, dust, vibrations, shocks and in some cases extremely low temperatures(the kind of temperature you may get in himalayas during winter.)

The peripheral components also include fastening devices and fixtures. For example we got a NYLON part machined to be put on a cylindrical hydraulic shock absorber to then fix a Vibration sensor for creating a ‘Condition Based Monitoring’ solution. The equipment characteristics like vibration etc will be used for creating ‘Remaining Useful Life(RUL)’ prediction models.
